Nintendo has been a household name for years. The company has brought countless video game titles and consoles all over the world. At some point of your life, there has to be some type of Nintendo gaming system that was in your possession. Now it seems that Nintendo may be bringing their video games to the mobile market.

The mobile gaming platform has taken a slight beating with the now use of smartphones and tablets. Countless free and paid video game applications are purchased through a number of mobile markets. Nintendo is certainly being affected with their mobile handhelds and of course their latest video game console the Wii U isn’t bringing very many sales as is. Now it seems Nintendo may be working on a few applications for the mobile platform.

According to Nintendo of America COO and President, Reggie Fils-Aime, the use of these applications is more or less to gain attention back to Nintendo. From what it sounds, these applications won’t be full video games but something to nod towards Nintendo with the hopes to keep that attention and turn it into dollar signs. See exactly what Reggie Fils-Anime says after talking to King 5.

“We’re also doing a lot of experimentation of what I would call the little experiences you can have on your smartphone and tablet that will drive you back to your Nintendo hardware. It’s largely going to be much more marketing activity-oriented, but we’ve done little things where there’s some element of gameplay – a movement, a shaking, something like that.”
